What we sell, and to whom.

Sutracraft sells hand block-printed home textiles to three kinds of professional buyers: interior designers working on private residential projects, boutique hotels and short-let properties sourcing bedding and table linen, and independent retailers considering carrying our work in their stores.

What we make is the same as what you see on the consumer side of this site — bedsheets, duvet covers, cushion covers, table linen, throws, quilts, kurtas — pressed by hand in our Sanganer studio. The difference is that you are buying it in larger quantities, on different terms, and with specific requirements around sizing, motif, or colourway. This page outlines how we handle trade and project orders.

We work in small production batches with a focus on made-to-order production and repeatable hand-print work. Our trade business runs on lead times rather than stock pulls — most orders are produced specifically for the buyer.

Three ways we work.

For interior designers

Sourcing for residential projects.

If you're sourcing for a residential client — a bedroom, a guest room, a dining room, a holiday home — we can supply individual pieces or full sets at trade pricing. Most designer accounts settle on projects between £500 and £4,000.

What you can expect

  • Trade pricing on verified accounts — a discount on retail pricing applied as a credit, with the level depending on order size and project mix. Most designer accounts settle around 30%.
  • Access to our full catalogue, including pieces we don't always show on the public site (older blocks, archive motifs, request-only sizes).
  • Custom sizing for non-standard beds, on a made-to-order basis.
  • Custom motif printing using blocks already in the Sanganer or Bagru libraries we work with.
  • Lead times of 2 to 6 weeks depending on order size and whether pieces are in stock or made-to-order.

We focus on production and supply rather than design consultancy. Pre-specification work — site visits, mood-boards, styling — is not something we offer. If you need swatches before specifying, we send those by post within 5 working days.

For hotels and short-let properties

Bedding and linen for 2 to 30 room properties.

If you're sourcing bedding, cushions, throws, or table linen for a hotel, B&B, holiday cottage, or short-let property, we can supply repeat-print sets at trade pricing. We work best with properties of 2 to 30 rooms.

What you can expect

  • Trade pricing on first orders, with negotiated pricing on repeat orders or larger volumes.
  • Repeatable motif and colourway selection — once you choose a print combination, we can hold the pattern and reprint to the same specification on future orders (subject to natural variation in hand-printed cloth).
  • Custom sizing for non-standard hotel mattresses (deep singles, US queen, super-king plus), made-to-order.
  • Lead times of 4 to 8 weeks for first orders, 3 to 5 weeks for repeat orders of the same piece.
  • Replacement supply: we keep records of what we've supplied, so when a sheet wears out or a cushion gets stained, we can reprint a matching replacement.

For retailers and concept stores

Wholesale to a small number of stores.

If you run a home goods shop, gift store, concept boutique, or design store, we sell to a small number of retailers at wholesale pricing. We work with a small number of retailers whose presentation and customer base align with the brand.

What you can expect

  • Wholesale pricing structured as a standard percentage off retail (typically around 50%, applied per order).
  • First-time orders typically begin around £800, depending on your category mix. This lets you test the work in your shop before committing to larger orders.
  • Repeat orders settle around £1,500 minimum, with negotiated terms on larger volumes.
  • Retailer-ready packaging — every piece arrives in our standard kraft + cotton drawstring bag presentation, ready for your shelf without additional packing.
  • Suggested retail prices (SRP) provided per piece — we ask retailers not to discount below the SRP without prior conversation, to protect the work and the brand for everyone selling it.
  • Lead times of 4 to 8 weeks for first orders, 3 to 5 weeks for repeat orders.
  • Geographic exclusivity is not granted at this stage.

Swatches and samples.

Swatch sets are available for designers, hospitality buyers, and retailers reviewing colour and print before larger commitments. Each swatch is a 15 × 20 cm piece of the actual cotton, printed with an actual block, in one of our standard colourways.

Designer swatch pack

Up to 12 swatches per pack, dispatched within 5 working days. £20 per pack within the UK, £35 internationally — refundable as credit on your first trade order over £500.

Hospitality sample pack

Up to 6 finished pieces (full-size cushion covers or napkins) for a property to review against existing decor. Charged at trade pricing, refundable on a confirmed order within 60 days.

Retailer sample pack

Up to 3 pieces, charged at trade price, refundable as credit on opening order within 60 days.

How this works.

  1. Write to us

    Tell us who you are, what you're sourcing for, and roughly what you're looking for — pieces, quantities, sizes, motif preferences, target timeline. The more specific you can be, the faster we can give you useful answers.

  2. We reply

    Within two working days with initial costing, lead times, and any clarifying questions. For larger or more complex enquiries, we may suggest a 30-minute call to work through specifications.

  3. Request samples

    For most trade orders we recommend reviewing physical samples before committing. We send by international courier; turnaround is 5 to 10 working days depending on destination.

  4. We confirm in writing

    Before any payment, you receive a written confirmation of exactly what we'll make, when it'll ship, and what it'll cost — including shipping and any applicable duties.

  5. Pay 50% deposit

    The balance is due before dispatch. We accept bank transfer (preferred for trade), Wise, and major card payments through Stripe. Net-30 terms are available for established trade customers after the first order.

  6. We print and ship

    Throughout production we'll send updates at key stages — particularly for larger orders or first-time customers who want to see the work in progress.

Working methods.

A few notes on scope, so you don't have to ask.

  • All Sutracraft work uses motifs from the carved wooden block libraries we have access to in Sanganer and Bagru. We can suggest blocks that approximate a design you're considering, but we don't commission new blocks for individual orders.
  • Every piece on this site and every piece we supply to trade is hand block-printed. We do not offer screen printing, digital printing, or rotary printing. If your project requires faster or more uniform reproduction than hand printing allows, we are not the right supplier.
  • We supply finished cloth in retail-ready packaging. Site installation, styling, and on-location photography are not part of our service.
  • Geographic exclusivity is not granted at this stage.
