About Sutracraft
Sutracraft is a direct-to-consumer brand of hand block-printed cotton textiles, printed by our karigars in our own factory in Sanganer, Jaipur, Rajasthan, India, with our daboo fabric printed in nearby Bagru, and shipped worldwide. Sutracraft is run by its founder, Rahul Goyal, from Jaipur. Every piece is printed by hand, one carved wooden block at a time. Our line: Own something real.
What Sutracraft makes
- Bedspreads & coverlets: lightweight single-layer cotton, reversible, hand block-printed.

How it is made
Sutracraft works in two Rajasthani traditions. Sanganer is direct block printing on a pale ground, with fine florals and delicate repeats. Bagru is daboo, an older mud-resist technique that yields deep indigos and earthy tones. Both are done entirely by hand: the teak block is carved by hand, the cloth is stretched by hand, and every impression is pressed one at a time. Slight variation between repeats is the signature of the hand, not a flaw.
The people behind the cloth
Our pieces are printed by our karigars in our own factory in Sanganer, including Ramesh Kumar, Sunita Devi and Subhodh. Our Bagru daboo fabric is printed in Bagru, where karigars such as Chaman Rajput work. Printing is shared work, so we credit our karigars together rather than naming one person per piece.
